Cupping is a supportive technique I use to help ease muscle tension and encourage tissue release. By creating a gentle suction with silicone or glass cups, we can work into areas that may feel dense, tight, or resistant to pressure alone. I often combine stationary and gliding cupping—what I think of as “dynamic melting”—to keep the work responsive and effective without causing intense marks. Some mild discoloration can still happen, but I tailor the pressure and placement to your comfort. Cupping isn’t for everyone, and it’s always optional. Like everything I use, it’s just one tool to help support your session goals.

Please note: Massages, especially deep tissue treatments, do not need to be painful to be effective. If you're flinching through the pain, it can lead to muscle guarding, which is counterproductive. There’s no studies showing that aggressive treatments are more effective. I prefer to work deeply yet gently. All massage styles engage the nervous system through touch, and some clients respond better to lighter pressure, while others benefit from deeper or slower work. A combination of techniques is often preferred by most.
